Nesting Loon
I have to thank my Dad for spotting this and coming and getting me to take the photo. We were in a canoe and were able to get this one. It is not uncommon to hear and see these birds in the wild in the area where we live.

This was a fun one to do. I used a simple close up lens in front of an advanced point and shoot. Patience and time in my mom's flower garden paid off. My mom loves this picture and uses it as part of her home decor.
